4 Day Trip to siwa oasis from Cairo

Cairo ,  El Alamein  , Marsa Matrouh,  Siwa oasis

Pick up time from your hotel in Cairo or Giza at 05:00 am. we do recommend to order a breakfast box from your hotel because of the early departure, and drive to  El Alamein  , driving distance: 259 km. It takes 3 hours driving, on the way we stop for a coffee break. Arrival at  El Alamein  at 08:30

Visit  El Alamein  Museum, from 08:30 till11:30

visit the museum of   El Alamein  which gives good information about the battle of   El Alamein  , The museum, about 1 mile west of the British memorial, is located on the north side of the road, for anyone interested in the war Memorabilia. the tombs of the Italians and Germans, Commonwealth War Graves drive to Marsa Matrouh from   El Alamein   

At 11:30 drive to Siwa through Marsa Matrouh. From: El-Alamein, Al Alameen to Siwa, Egypt.

Light lunch will be served on the way.

After breakfast, You will start your great adventure to the salt lake and the great sand sea then Proceed to the salt lake to get an amazing experience to swim, the water makes you float above

1-The salt lake

The salt lakes have similar hyper-salinity properties to those of Jordan’s Dead Sea. This also means that the lakes hold great healing properties, much stronger than regular seawater. In all cases, they make for a wonderful swim! Then drive to Cleopatras Bath 

2-Cleopatra's bath

The springs of Siwa are famous throughout the western desert, The spring of the sun Or Cleopatra's bath, has been mentioned by travelers to Siwa since the days of Herodotus, legend maintains that Cleopatra swam here when she visited Siwa oasis , So, It must be assumed, did Alexander the great

Then you will adventure the desert by discovering the Great Sand Sea. by Jeep 4x4, Visit the hot and Cold spring Bir Waheed  Later, we enjoy some traditional Bedouin Tea by sunset&

1- The temple of the Oracle .


It is a spectacular temple, The temple of Amun, built during the twenty-sixth Dynasty, the temple and its oracle flourished into Greek and Roman times
It is believed that Alexander the Great wished to consult the Siwan oracle to seek confirmation that he was the son of Zeus. The Greek god of gods, when he and his entourage arrived, A manifestation of the oracle was paraded through the city accompanied eighty priests, After his visit to the oracle, whenever his image appeared on the coin, Alexander was shown with horns of the ram, the symbol of Amun, the god of gods in Egypt. It is believed that Alexander the Great wished to consult the Siwan oracle to seek confirmation that he was the son of Zeus. The Greek god of gods, when he and his entourage arrived at Siwa oasis after a long trip through the desert. then proceed to

2-Cleopatra`s bath

3-The temple of Umm Ubaydah

Just 200 m further from the Temple of the Oracle, the temple was erected by the pharaoh Nectanebo of the 40th Dynasty, Then Proceed to Visit

3-Gebel  Al Mawta.
Gebel Al Mawta, Mountain of the Dead, is a conical mountain a little over a kilometer to the north of Shali. Tombs from the twenty-sixth Dynasty, Ptolemaic, and the Roman periods are cut into the side of the mountain, There are four tombs worth seeing at Gebel Al – Mawta.

Fatnas at Sunset
Fatnas is a Small island in Birket Siwa, you can reach it by walk or by bike, It is  a wonderful place to sit and enjoy the sunset, You will get a spectacular view of the lake  with Gebel Bayda and Hamra forming the backdrop to the west, A walk  in the Garden show a variety of trees including Banana, dates, and  olive

Then drive to Cairo, passing by Marsa Matrouh for lunch passing  Discover Marsa Matrouh, Egypt’s Mediterranean shore. With sandy white beaches and crystal clear waters, many believe that Cleopatra herself bathed in the tranquil waters of Marsa Matrouh. drive back to  Cairo Arrival in Cairo at 20:00
