COVID 19 Safety Measures with Marsa Alam Tours
- All guests, tour guides, and drivers will keep a safety distance of 1.5 meters to 2 meters.
- To prevent crowds, most attractions have restricted the number of people allowed in the venue, hence you may have to pick time slots for your visit.
- Group tours will be conducted in small numbers and guides will ensure that safety distancing norms are maintained.
- Tour operators will ensure regular cleaning of the vehicle at the start and end of the tour.
- Drivers will disinfect all surfaces that guests, tour guides, and drivers have come in touch with.
- In some destinations, the use of toilets on board will not be allowed. Guests will be advised to use toilets before departure and at stopovers.
- Guests are requested to avoid bringing heavy luggage as some tour operators have denied staff touching any of the guest’s belongings. If drivers are handling luggage, they will do so wearing gloves.
- All guests, tour guides, and drivers will be obliged to clean their hands regularly. Guests are encouraged to wash their hands at departure points and at stopovers during the tour.
- The sanitizing solution will be available to guests at all times. A disinfectant dispenser will be placed next to the entrance and exit door of vehicles.
- For your protection, make sure to carry your own mask and gloves. Most tour operators will have sanitizing kits available to guests for free of cost or for purchase.
- The tour operators have the right to refuse permission to join or continue the tour for guests who do not wear masks.
- The tour operators will limit the number of guests traveling in buses/minivan to maintain appropriate distancing between strangers on board.
- The tour guide may give instructions on seat selection if necessary.
- Change of seats will not be permitted during the tour.
- The check-in process by most tour operators will be done through the mobile phone to avoid contact with the paper or other people.
- The guides and front-line staff will wear gloves when receiving vouchers.
- At most destinations, temperature screening of staff and all guests will be conducted before the start of the tour. Those with temperatures higher than 37.5 °C/99.5 °F will not allow be allowed to participate in the tour.
- At the beginning of the activity, the tour representative will communicate the health protection protocol that will be followed during the tour.
- Please make sure you reach the meeting point 10 minutes before the departure/starting time for safety briefing.
- In some destinations, guests might have to provide information about their current health status and sign a medical declaration form.
- If the guests feel unwell, they may contact the activity operator on the telephone numbers provided in the confirmation voucher and they will make the necessary arrangements.
- Wash your hands throughout your visit and/or make use of the sanitizers.
- Please follow any specific instructions from your guide or your local tour operator. They will always be updated with the local country health advisories and may ask you to comply with extra precautions.
Covid FAQs - Booking Cancellations
I made a booking recently but due to COVID 19 restrictions, I cannot travel. Can I cancel my reservations?
Yes, we accommodate cancellations in such circumstances. Please email us your name, email id, Booking Reference Number at info@marsaalamtours.com and we’ll take it up from there.
Can I postpone my booking to a future date?
Yes, you can. Keeping Covid-19 guidelines and restrictions in mind, we'll happily extend the date of your tour in case you’re unable to travel now.
In case my tour is canceled because of Covid-19, will I be eligible for a refund?
If the experience you’ve booked is canceled, you will be notified immediately through an email. Further, you can reply back to us, with an option to amend your travel date or request for a refund, accordingly.
