1. The Entry & Grand Atrium (The Welcome)
The Suspended Obelisk: Before even entering the building, visitors see the world's first "suspended" obelisk of Ramses II. It is raised on a glass floor so you can look up and see the Pharaoh’s cartouche underneath.

The Grand Hall (Atrium): A 10,000 m² space dominated by the 83-ton Colossus of Ramses II. This 3,200-year-old red granite statue stands 11 meters tall and serves as the museum's "host."

The Victory Column: The Column of King Merneptah and several other colossal statues of kings and queens are also housed here.

2. The Grand Staircase (The Royal Journey)
This is a 60-meter high "vertical gallery" that connects the atrium to the upper exhibition levels.

Layout: It features over 60 monumental artifacts (statues, stelae, and sarcophagi) arranged in four chronological themes: Royal Image, Divine Houses, Gods & Kings, and The Afterlife.

The View: As visitors ascend, they get an increasingly dramatic view of the Giza Pyramids through the massive glass "curtain wall."

3. The Tutankhamun Galleries (The Treasure House)
Occupying 7,500 m², these two massive parallel halls are the museum's crown jewel.

The Complete Collection: For the first time, all 5,398 artifacts found in King Tut’s tomb (KV62) are displayed together.

Narrative Sequence: The halls are divided by themes: Discovery (Carter's story), Lifestyle (his clothes and food), Kingship (chariots and armor), and The Afterlife (the shrines and the gold mask).

The Golden Mask: Housed in a dedicated, high-security sanctuary where visitors can walk 360° around the mask to see the protection spells on the back.

4. The 12 Main Exhibition Halls (Chronological History)
These halls are organized into three main historical eras, showing the evolution of Egypt:

Old Kingdom: Focuses on the era of the Pyramid builders and the dawn of the centralized state.

Middle Kingdom: Highlights the "Golden Age" of literature, art, and administrative reform.

New Kingdom & Late Period: Displays the military might and religious complexity of Ramses, Akhenaten, and the Greco-Roman transition.

5. Khufu’s Solar Boat Museum (The Pavilion)
This is a separate, dedicated building within the GEM complex.

It houses the 4,500-year-old Solar Bark of King Khufu, which was moved from the Giza Plateau.

The display uses a "hanging" technique that allows visitors to see the hull and the deck of the boat from multiple levels.

6. Specialized Divisions
The Children’s Museum: An interactive space for kids aged 6–12. It uses VR and games to teach them about mummification, hieroglyphs, and ancient farming.

The Commercial Zone: Includes the GEM Bazaar, high-end dining, and the "Educational Center."

The Conservation Center: One of the most advanced labs in the world, where artifacts are restored behind glass so visitors can sometimes see scientists at work.
