We are going to show you step by step how to see the most important tourist attractions and highlights in Egypt in two weeks. The ancient country on the Nile has so many truly outstanding places to see

Day 1:  Cairo

For the first day, Arrive in Cairo

Cairo by night tour can be one of the best evening activities you can do in Cairo . This wonderful private guided night tour of Cairo allows you to see Cairo with the local’s Eyes. Start to see a beautiful view of the city from atop points like Mokatam hills. It is an amazing place to see Cairo at sunset. Day 2: Explore Cairo

Morning: Egyptian Museum.

 Egyptian Museum of antiquities. It displays the largest and most precious items of Egyptian art in the world.

It exhibits a rare collection of over 250,000 genuine artefacts that date as far back as 5000 years, including an exclusive exhibit dedicated to the Tutankhamen - A collection of treasures, gold, and jewellery that were buried in his tomb for over 3,500 years before they were discovered in 1920 when his tomb was excavated.
The entrance fee to the Mummies room is not included. Then you will be Passing By Tahrir Square, where the Egyptian Revolution began in 2011. Your tour finishes with a drop-off at your hotel.

The main attraction in Cairo is certainly the fabulous Egyptian Museum. It is located on the famous Tahir Square (you do remember the Egyptian revolution of 2011, that’s where it all started) but they are currently constructing a new building in Giza called the Grand Egyptian Museum, it will be open at the end of 2020( You should not miss this New Museum)

Afternoon: Cairo Citadel & Islamic Cairo

In the afternoon, Visit Cairo Citadel of Sultan Saladin and explore the beautiful mosques within. It’s also the best viewpoint in Cairo ,

Day 3: Trip to Giza Pyramids 

A trip to Egypt could never be complete without visiting the pyramids. The most famous ones are located in Giza and it’s those you want to see. It only takes 20 minutes to get there from the city centre. 

I do recommend you head onwards to Memphis and Saqqara and see the Step Pyramids of Djoser and the Mastaba of Mereruka . Otherwise, you can also return to Cairo after Giza and explore the rest of Cairo . Again, Coptic Cairo , The Museum of Islamic Art or the Nilometer come to mind.

Day 4- Day Trip to Alexandria

Alexandria is a mythical place. Both the fabled Library of Alexandria and the Lighthouse of Alexandria filled a history tome or two. Today, little of that former glory remains, but it is a fascinating city nonetheless.

Most tourists decide to catch a glimpse of these golden days. If you don’t want to overload your Egypt itinerary with too many museums and history, you might as well skip this day trip and prolong your stay on the Red Sea.

Day 5 -Travel  to Aswan and Start The Nile cruise

On the fifth day, you will move on to Aswan in the very south of Egypt. You can either take the sleeper train from Cairo to Aswan on the evening of the 4th day or take an early plane on the morning of the fifth. The train will be cheaper as you will save the accommodation for the night (otherwise it’s more or less the same price).

Use the remainder of the day to and then take a traditional felucca boat to the Botanical garden and/or Elephantine Island. You can also decide to view the famous Unfinished Obelisk or tour the Monastery of St. Simon! The Perfect way to see Egypt with the Nile cruise(Enjoy 4 Days Nile cruise between Aswan and Luxor )

Day 6: Abu Simbel

Abu Simbel temple is probably the most iconic UNESCO World Heritage site on this planet. No wonder, the relocation of the temple of Ramses II lay the foundation of the famous organization. There are two ways to reach Abu Simbel: By bus and by plane.in the afternoon. Sail to Luxor – Via Kom Ombo The temple and the associated settlement site located 40 K.m north of Aswan, the temple was dedicated to the deities Sobek and Horus  and date mainly to the Ptolemaic and Roman period(332 B.b -395 A.c)

Day 7: Edfu and Luxor temple

Day 8- West Bank

Visit the west bank of  Luxor  and Karnak

The  Valley of the Kings  :
Once  called the great Place of the Truth, this valley Called now the valley of the Kings, It is a Majestic domain of the Pharaohs who once lay in great stone Sarcophagi, awaiting immortality, The isolated valley behind Deir el Bahri is dominated by the Pyramid-Shaped Mountain Peak

The colossi of Memnon :
Massive  pair statues Know as the  Colossi of Memnon , Rising about 18 M from the plain, They are the remains of what once the largest  complex on the west bank, Built by Amenhotep the Third

The Queen Hatshepsut temple :
Rising out of the desert Plain, in a series of terraces, The temple of Hatshepsut Mergs with sheer limestone Cliffs of the eastern face of the Theban Mountain as if Nature herself had built this Extraordinary monument.

Karnak is more than A temple, is a spectacular Complex of Sanctuaries, Kiosks, Pylons and Obelisks, All dedicated to the Theban gods and to the Greater Glory of Egypt`s Pharaohs, Karnak was the Most Important place for the worship of the Theban Triad(Amun, Mut, and Khonso)

Drive to Red sea to discover the beauty of the corals and marine life-Enjoy Hurghada excursions over the Red Sea. There are so many things to do such as Diving, Snorkeling

Day 9- Swim with dolphins in Hurghada

Here, if Mother Nature is accommodating, you will see dozens of dolphins playing in the water and swimming alongside your boat. If the weather allows, you can even jump in and play with them! Experience the dolphins in their natural habitat, living away from the constraints of an artificial pool and controlled environment.

Observe they are normal behaviour; if they choose to come and play with you, it’s according to their will. The area is ideal for snorkelling whether the dolphins are playful or not. Admire the beautiful corals and a multitude of exotic fish far from the tourist crowds.

You will make a total of 3 stops in different locations. A small buffet lunch is also served on board, and if you are interested in diving, the crew can organize a professional instructor for a trial lesson (please advise in advance). Cruise back to the pier for your transfer back to your hotel in Hurghada in the late afternoon

Day 10 - Hurghada - Diving trip

Spend a day out on the water learning to scuba dive on an 8-hour experience in Hurghada . This trip is suited for beginners and experts alike who simply want to enjoy the waters of the Red Sea. After pick-up, you will be taken out on a boat to your first diving spot.

Experienced instructors will guide you around the location and explain the specifics of the diving site. Then head into the sea and explore the underwater realm. Once your first dive ends, enjoy an onboard lunch. Then you will move to a new site for the second dive. Opt to snorkel or swim if you feel like it.

You will also have plenty of time to relax and sample the provided refreshments. In the late afternoon, you will be returned to shore.

 

Day 11  Fly to Cairo and Visit the  El Fayoum and Wadi El Hitan

 pick you up at 07:00 from the airport in Cairo  and take you to  Bahariya Oasis, about 350 km east. This journey takes about 4 hours: lunch will be served at a local restaurant at Bahariya Oasis. From here, you will continue on to the Black Desert, and the natural hot springs in the Valley of El Haize, before driving to the quartz crystals at  Crystal Mountain , and the rocky formations in the Valley of Agabat.
Later on, day one, explore the White Desert National Park, the most well-known desert destination in Egypt. The quantity of unearthly and beautiful wind-carved rock formations shaped in the form of giant mushrooms or pebbles is unequalled by any desert in the world. Arrive at the White Desert by sunset, and our Bedouin staff will arrange dinner and desert camping.

 

Day 12- Overnight in Wadi El Hitan

You'll enjoy breakfast in the desert, before driving to Bahariya Oasis to get some rest and take a shower. Then drive back Wadi El Hitan from Baharyia.

Make a Desert Trip to Wadi El Hitan. It’s ‘  Wadi Al Hitan  ’ The site today is a Protected area and a Natural Heritage Site added in 2005 by the UNESCO as world heritage site, WADI EL-HITAN is also known for scientists in the Zeuglodon Valley, have been discovered in 1936, it is located 35 KM west of the Wadi El-Ryan, right deep into the desert western desert, is It is an area of fossils; considered as an open museum, dates back to 45 million years and contains petrified primitive whales skeletons, shark teeth, shells and roots of Mangroves preserved in soft rocks. Everywhere you go here you find petrified sea shell and corals, Visit the  Fossil & Climate Change Museum  Museum which hosts a variety of whale fossils, and skeletons that are displayed outdoors, as for the museum it has a variety of fossils, skeletons, fossilized mangroves, and ancient seashells exhibited indoors in glass boxes, Enjoy your lunch, watch the sunset in the desert then Enjoy Bbq dinner and watch the stars like an Arabian Nights.

 

Day 13  -Discover El Fayoum and Drive back to Cairo  

pick up from Wadi Hitan National Park transferred by air-conditioned Car to El Fayoum oasis, Visit the Magic lake, Wadi El Rayan, Qarun Lake and Drive back to Cairo .

Day 14  -Discover Old Cairo

Enjoy a fantastic orientation tour of Cairo on an 8-hour excursion that takes in the major monuments of Old Cairo and the maze of streets and stalls of the historic Khan El Khalili Bazaar. Following a hotel pick-up from Cairo or Giza, you will drive up to the Saladin Citadel, constructed by Salah al-Din on the Moqattam Hills in 1183 AD as a defence against Crusader armies. Known for its fresh air and sweeping views of Cairo , it is now a preserved historic site of mosques and museums, including the Mosque of Muhammad Ali Pasha

Designed by the Turkish architect Yousif Boushnaq, who came to Cairo especially from Istanbul to build the great building, the mosque's alabaster structure stands in beautiful contrast to the sandstone city.

Lunch will be served in Local restaurant in Old Cairo

Then, visit Old Cairo to see major attractions such as the Hanging Church, the Ben Ezra Synagogue, the Church of St. Barbara, and the Church of Abu Serga, one of the oldest Coptic churches in Cairo

Continue to the Khan el-Khalili Bazaar, one of the oldest bazaars in the Middle East. Discover a maze of alleys that have been at the center of Cairo ’s trading activities since the 14th century.
